Bob Davis

1933-2010


DAVIS, Robert Joseph “Bob” … 77, Halifax, passed away on Saturday, March 6, 2010 in the QEII. Born in Kingston, Ont, he was a son of the late Frederick and Ada Davis. Bob served on many ships during his time in the Navy, something he truly loved. He was an avid hockey fan and played in his younger years. He fought hard for 7 months and now he is at peace. He will be lovingly remembered and never forgotten by his wife of 43 years, Betty Ann (Westhaver); daughters, Doris (David), Monica, Lisa, Judith “Jodi” (Angelo); sons, Mike (Melinda), Jamie (Colleen), Freddy (Sandy), George; daughter in-law, Trish; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers, Jack (Oowize), Bert (Eloise), Harold; sister, Doris. He was predeceased by son, Robert “Rebel”; brother, George; sister, Evelyn. The family extends heartfelt thanks to Dr. O’Blenes and the staff of the QEII 7.1, and to social worker Paula Wickenden for the excellent care given to Bob. Betty would also like to thank her daughter and son-in-law Doris and David as well as granddaughter Jessi, and Bobby and Gladys Westhaver for their constant support. Arrangements are under the care of J. A. Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Spryfield (477-5601) where visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 9 from 2-4 PM. In keeping with Bob’s wishes, there will be no service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the SPCA. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting: www.walkerfh.com
