Dora Constance Josey

Josey, Dora Constance- 96, Halifax, passed away peacefully, on Friday, June 8, 2012 in the Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in Maple Grove, Hants Co, she was the daughter of the late Maxwell and Olive (Moore) Royles. She was a past member of St. Mark’s Anglican Church, a member of Emmanuel Anglican Church, also was a member of the Mother’s Union. Dora was a loving mother, grandmother and friend. She will be lovingly remembered and never forgotten by sons; Ronald (Vicki) Josey, Newburne, daughters; Euince Messervey, Halifax, Linda (Martin) MacDonald; Hubley, seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren and two great great- grandchildren, brothers, Herbert Royles, Fred Royles, both of Hants Co, sisters; Mary Kilby; British Columbia, Susie Zuick, Saskatchwen, ,she was predeceased by her husband Ivan, son, Eugene Josey, brothers, Malcolm, Charles and George, sisters, Minnie Joy and Myrtle Jolly, son-in-law, William Messervey. Arrangements are under the care of J. A. Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, (477-5601), where visitation will be held on Monday, June 11 from 6-8 PM. A celebration of Dora’s life will be held on Tuesday, June 12 at 11:00 AM in Emmanuel Anglican Church, Spryfield, Rev. Dianna Brett-Frye officiating. A reception will follow in the church hall; interment to be held in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Lower Sackville. Family flowers only, donations in memory may be made to Emmanuel Anglican Church. I have very fond memories of going over to Maple Grove with Mum (Annie) and spending time going back and forth between Uncle Max's and Dave's.
